Yesterday Allison and I went to the Texas A&M versus Kansas game, which was a fantastic game to attend! Her dad gave us tickets that he won on the radio, and we were on the first deck, the 15th row, at the north 20 yard-line. Thanks, Todd!
We weren't the only ones in attendance (obviously, as there were over 86,000 people there), but Gary Sinise, George H. W. Bush, Cliff Pennington, and Rico Rodriguez were there as well. Oh, and the players on the Kansas and Texas A&M teams.
Texas A&M ended up winning a respectable 61-7, allowing the Jayhawks to score in the final quarter, after putting in their second string team. <sarcasm> Yup, it was a nail-biter. </sarcasm> After we got back home (to her parents' house), we watched the Kansas State @ Texas and Oklahoma @ Baylor games. I'm glad my fiancée likes watching college football as much as I do.

New Personal Blog
I changed my blog at this address from a football blog back to my personal blog. My football blog is still available, just at a different address! I've got a link to it in tabs at the top of the screen here. Voila!

Harry Potter
I've just got back from the midnight premier of the series finale of the Harry Potter series, and I feel... weird.Yes, it's the "end of an era," but it seems to me more of another coming of age. I grew up with Harry Potter, wanting to go away to Hogwarts when I was turning eleven. As Harry grew, I grew; as he hurt, I've hurt; as he laughed, I've laughed. All through my childhood, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were my constant companions.
When the seventh book came out, I had just graduated High School. When Harry became a man, I became a man. I went off to College, and reread the series, re-watched the movies, and attended each premier as the new films came out.
Now, with the end of the movie series, I've just finished college and am about to begin law school. As Harry finishes yet another adventure, so do I.
But it's not the "end of an era." The Harry Potter books remain on my shelves, the most read books on there, ready to be read again. And the movies remain there to be watched to my heart's content. It's not the end of an era, it's a new beginning.
